Cool Weather Contender

Fall is about beauty, nature, and the elements. This season calls for outerwear that contends with crisp, progressively colder weather. While a good, utilitarian coat or jacket is a wardrobe staple, sometimes you need a garment that expresses a bit more verve, such as a chic cloak. Unable to find the perfect cape, Joaquina designed one of her own. We are all about sumptuous fabrics at Joaquina, so for our Twirl cape, we chose a marvelous vintage Pendleton. This snuggly cape has all the warmth and softness of lanolin-rich, felted virgin wool, plush in texture, but lightweight. The heather gray is a versatile neutral that pairs well with any other colors or patterns. Its graceful drape and practical length make it suitable for day or evening. A large, pearlescent vintage button secures the cape just below the shawl collar. More than just a piece of outerwear, the Twirl cape makes a statement. Wear it with boots for a killer ensemble. Or, like Kimberly, wear it with sassy pink heels!
